Hello, my name's Elaine and I'm from England. And my question is what makes a good movie, or what makes a bad movie?

I think the first thing that comes to mind is the originality of the plot. It needs to be a story that you, that you’re involved with something that's interesting, something that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Whether it's an adventure movie or even a romance, we want to be inspired and to continue watching.

The other thing I think is important characters, authentic characters, people that we can relate to, and a strong message, a message of hope or a message of something that inspires us in life.

Obviously, cinematography is fundamental. Something that's a bit alternative or different. Something that gives you a different perspective in life. Costumes are interesting, depending on when it's set. Soundtrack for me is fundamental as a music lover and of course a good ending.

Your story needs to have a good ending, something that keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through, and maybe an unpredictable ending is great. What about you? What do you think makes a good movie?
